Here's another shot from the other morning with Mattie. With all the moisture we've had here this spring, the water is just gushing. I'm confident when I say that this is the hightest I've ever seen the Missouri and this is the most most water I've seen rushing out of the Rainbow Dam you see here.
I tried to combine two scenes here: one of the river running east toward the rising sun and one of the water pouring out of the dam. Though the panorama captured both scenes, it still doesn't compare to witnessing that sunrise firsthand. It was absolutely gorgeous!
Please leave comments about the processing here. I tried emphasizing the warm sunrise tones in the first shot via a Photo Filter adjustment layer in Photoshop but then rebalanced out the white balance in the second to get a much cooler version in the second one. Favorites? Comments?
