I just got back from talk at Winona State given by longtime National Geographic photographer Jim Brandenburg. I was absolutely blown away by his photography. If you haven't seen any of his work (and you probably have), it's definitely worth dropping by his website.
This is probably the best of the bunch from the other day. I asked my roomate for requests as I was walking out and he suggested I take a shot of the creekbed. While I'm not crazy about how those turned out, the search for an interesting composition on the bottom of the creek did have me looking down most of the short hike. So, some of the credit for this puppy goes to John.
