So, I've turned into a night owl.
I've always known I had the potential to do so, but I never thought I'd take on my good friend Mattie Meier's habits of staying awake during the early hours of the night and sleeping until noon ... on a regular basis. But I have. I don't know what it is, but something about the stillness of the night injects a wave of creativity in me that sometimes forces me to tear myself from the computer or my viewfinder to get some sleep. I just love being awake while the city around me sleeps; I'm not sure why.
This image comes from a late night excursion I took this past weekend. I had just taken out the trash at about one when I noticed the fog catching the city lights just west of my house. So, I grabbed my camera bag and headed out. I ended up stopping by the parking garage downtown for a few shots. This is the first; there are more to come.
